Update from Madras Cafe Books

Booksellers NZ report:
24 Nov 2010

We received an update from our friends at Madras Cafe Books this morning (Wednedsday, 24 November)...

"We have left our former premises at 165 Madras Street, with considerable grief and effort, and established a bookselling operation in the Science Alive building at 392 Moorhouse Ave - we're calling it MCBooks for now.

It's in the old railway station (with the quake-famous stopped clock - 4.35am) and also houses a Hoyts and Timezone. This space has been made available by Science Alive, and we are really grateful for the oppportunity it gives us to reassess and recharge. Many thanks to those marvellous people who assisted over the last few weeks and those who offered but were not called upon. The support we have had has been astounding!

Opening hours
We haven't finalised our hours as yet, but will now open Saturdays and weekdays from 10am, closing between 4 and 5pm. Give us a call on 03 365 8585 if you want to check if we're open.

We have excellent parking behind the complex, accessed from either Gasson Street (going north) or from the Moorhouse Avenue/ Manchester Street intersection.

Best wishes
David & Wendy Ault
