LESLEY AGNEW, R.I.P.
BookBrunch

Lesley Agnew, the much-loved and respected owner of the Muswell Hill Children's Bookshop, died on Sunday (25 July). She had been taken ill at Christmas, not long after the shop's 35th anniversary celebrations, attended by a host of authors despite a November deluge. Among them were Children's Laureate Anthony Browne, a regular visitor to the shop, and publisher Klaus Flugge who declared in a speech that Muswell Hill was "the best independent bookshop in the country".
