Websites Writers Being Promoted at London Book Fair.

Aaron Cook the Director of http://www.worthyofpublishing.com/ is preparing to attend the London Book Fair next month to develop relationships with major publishers through their stand. By networking with key people from some of the largest publishing houses around the world, Aaron plans to help publishers discover potential next best sellers, which have already been rated highly by the market on worthyofpublishing.com.

The website offers writers the opportunity to gain free market feedback on their manuscript's and the chance to potentially attract a publisher if their work proves to be popular. The public can read, rate and comment on the work submitted online for free.

Cook said he has had good feedback from the publishers he has talked to so far, who are keeping a close eye on the website and ratings for potential next best sellers.

The website has given many writers hope after commonly receiving numerous rejection letters from publishers. “This is a truly 21st Century approach that goes beyond the traditional parameters of submitting work to the public exclusively via a Publisher. This site allows writers and Publishers alike to see what people are interested in and how they respond to a given writer.” Maryanne Khan - Author

Cook believes it makes sense to offer the market the opportunity to decide if a book is worthy of publishing through the simple process of choosing a genre of interest and then rating the books on offer - since these readers would be the same people buying the books once they are published in the physical world. Responses also indicate to writers and publishers what kind of books people are looking for.

“I was very interested to read about the initiative – It is a novel approach to the problem new writers face breaking into the market, and could be a useful tool for both writers and publishers.” Hon. Judith Tizard, Associate Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage - New Zealand.

“I think this site is great, what a plus for New Zealand authors, thank you for the opportunity.” Kathleen Himiona – Author

The London Book Fair runs from the 14th - 16th of April and is one of the largest Book Fairs in the world with over 23,000 members of the global publishing community all together under one roof for three days.
