Penguin glued to BBC after Lonely Planet deal

Lonely Planet: publishes around 500 travel-related titles
Penguin, publisher of the Rough Guide travel books, said today it will closely monitor how the BBC makes use of Lonely Planet after the broadcaster's commercial arm bought most of the rival travel guide publisher this month.
Speaking about BBC Worldwide's acquisition of 75% of Lonely Planet for up to £100m, Penguin head John Makinson said his group would watch how the relationship plays out between the commercial arm and the BBC.
